Sam's hunting background has made him excellent at foraging for food, lock picking, stealing supplies without being seen and making weapons out of anything he has at hand. He also has decent first aid skills able to bandage and stitch up wounds and splint broken bones using any supplies he has access to or can find with help. He also is a skilled marksman with both a gun, knife and crossbow and he can read in several different languages including French, Latin and Spanish.

Personality:

Sam is a typical younger sibling, stubborn, passionate and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He would do anything for his older brother Dean, in particular, and he knows Dean would do the same. Despite this Sam loathes the way he grew up and from the time he was old enough to understand what normal was he longed for a life beyond hunting. Sam is very adaptable moving from a hunt to college classes with a smile and a nod. He keeps to himself when alone and tries not to socialize because if he gets close to people they get hurt.

While Sam is courageous, intelligent and charming, he does not see his good qualities and refuses to believe anyone who tells him differently.. He calls himself a freak, tainted and unworthy of the notice of both Heaven and Hell. He hunches over whenever he meets anyone because he believes his height frightens and intimidates them. Sam has also chosen to leave Dean behind in an effort to save his brother from his mistakes.

Sam is also a gentle giant with the kindest soul most angels have ever seen. He risks death every day to save complete strangers because innocent lives always come before his own. Death even remarked that Sam was one of the most faithful souls he’d ever seen and he earned the respect and friendship of the angel sent to stop him from becoming Lucifer’s vessel. He is a hero, friend and brother first and Sam Winchester the person second. He is also humble, honest and willing to give other people the credit when world saving needs to be done.
